Comox Valley Railway Modellers
|
Current Club President's E-Mail: Dwight Kayto |
With approx 45 members of all scales, ages and genders. We do not have a club layout but we meet one Saturday morning a month Sept-June. We usually have a presentation, show and tell, survey, discussion point or something specific for each meeting. During the summer months we have less formal coffee get togethers. We have also try to have a main activity for each winter season. In the past we did a kit challenge like the staff of Model railroad magazine did, even using the same kit. Last winter (2021-22) we had a program we called 'let's get modelling'. Modellers could create whatever they wanted in a space up to 288 sq. inches. (2 sq ft) of any shape. Each participant got their name entered in a draw for a $25 cash prize. We also have a facebook page with about 130 members, many on the island and some from more distant places. |

The ReNegauge is a proud 100% NMRA club. We do not have a club layout; we focus on building and operating members layouts. While we are primarily N-Scale, several members model in HO, On3 and G scales. Currently all member layouts are DCC. We do not have regular club meetings and there are no membership dues. We meet periodically for "train nights" and work parties in members' homes, and informally every few weeks at a local Starbuck's for weekday coffee sessions. New members of all ages and experience levels are most welcome. |
